The past few weeks have honestly felt surreal.
The roads became quieter.
People stayed inside their homes.
Everyone carried uncertainty differently.
And during the height of the lockdown, our medical reserve company participated in relief operations to help distribute food and essentials to communities affected by the pandemic.
Going house to house during that time felt emotionally heavy in ways that are difficult to fully explain.
You could feel fear everywhere.
Not just fear of getting sick, but fear of uncertainty itself.
People worrying about food.
Work.
Their families.
Their future.
At the same time, I also witnessed so much quiet resilience.
People still trying to smile despite difficult situations.
Volunteers continuing to help despite exhaustion.
Communities supporting one another in small ways they could.
The experience changed the way I viewed ordinary things.
I stopped taking simple routines for granted.
Going outside freely.
Eating together comfortably.
Feeling safe around people.
Everything suddenly felt more fragile and more meaningful at the same time.
I think this pandemic forced many of us to slow down emotionally whether we wanted to or not.
And somewhere in all the uncertainty, I started reflecting more deeply about life, priorities, and the kind of person I want to become moving forward.
