Today was the first day of our COVID-19 food drive activity, and it reminded me once again how important community becomes during difficult times.
The pandemic affected so many people emotionally, financially, and physically.
And during situations like this, even small acts of help can mean so much to families struggling to get through daily life.
Watching volunteers work together today felt incredibly meaningful.
People willingly gave:
- time
- effort
- donations
- energy
- compassion
simply to help others feel supported during uncertain times.
Moments like these remind me that kindness becomes even more important during crises.
Helping people does not always solve every problem immediately, but it can still give comfort, hope, and reassurance that communities are not facing difficult situations alone.
Today also made me appreciate everyone working quietly behind the scenes.
The organizers.
The volunteers.
The donors.
The people willing to show up despite exhaustion and uncertainty.
There’s something powerful about seeing people choose compassion during hard seasons.
And even after a tiring day, experiences like this still leave the heart feeling full.
