I Started Protecting My Peace More, Even Online

I think one thing adulthood slowly teaches people is that protecting your peace becomes more important than constantly participating in everything.

Even online.

Lately, I noticed myself becoming more intentional with the kind of digital spaces I spend time in.

Less unnecessary drama.

Less emotional chaos.

Less pressure to constantly keep up with everything happening online.

And honestly?

It feels healthier this way.

I still enjoy fandom spaces.

I still enjoy music, performances, funny edits, and comforting content.

But I think I’ve learned how to engage with things more peacefully now compared to before.

Without emotionally exhausting myself.

I used to think being “updated” all the time mattered.

But now?

I’d rather quietly enjoy the things that genuinely make me happy without turning everything into stress.

I think maturity changes fandom too.

It becomes less about proving how dedicated you are.

And more about simply appreciating the comfort and happiness certain artists bring into your life.

And honestly?

I like this quieter version of enjoyment better.

Peace became very important to me this year.

Even online.

Especially online.
