Leaving My Job Was One of the Hardest Decisions I’ve Made

A few days ago, I officially left my job.

And honestly?

Even now, it still feels surreal saying that out loud.

This wasn’t an impulsive decision.

I spent months thinking about it, overthinking it, doubting myself, and wondering if I was making a huge mistake.

Because despite the stress, my previous work also gave me stability, experience, structure, and lessons I know I’ll always carry with me.

And walking away from something familiar is never easy.

But deep down, I also knew something inside me was changing.

I wanted more freedom.

More flexibility.

More ownership over my time and future.

And as terrifying as freelancing felt, I knew I needed to at least try.

Honestly, I was scared.

Still am sometimes.

Because starting over financially and professionally at this stage of life feels both exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

There are no guarantees.

No perfectly clear roadmap.

Just faith, effort, and the willingness to figure things out slowly.

But despite all the fear, I also feel proud of myself.

Because this was one of the boldest decisions I’ve made in years.

Not because I’m fearless.

But because I finally stopped waiting to feel completely ready before making a change.

I’m grateful for everything my previous work taught me.

The experiences.
The discipline.
The people I met.
The lessons I’ll carry into this next chapter.

And now, I think I’m finally ready to see where this new beginning takes me.
