Family Life

Somewhere Out There, We’re Still Trying to Take Decent Family Photos

I genuinely think my partner and son never really intended to take proper family photos seriously.

Because somehow, every single attempt always becomes chaotic.

Someone laughs too early.

Someone makes a weird face.

Someone refuses to pose normally.

And somehow, our “family pictures” always end up looking more like comedy scenes than proper portraits.

And honestly?

I’ve stopped fighting it already.

At first, I used to want those perfectly coordinated family photos.

The aesthetic ones.

The Pinterest-looking ones.

But lately, I realized the messy pictures actually feel more like us.

Real.

Playful.

Completely unserious.

And honestly?

I think those imperfect moments became more meaningful to me over time.

Because years from now, I probably won’t remember whether we looked polished.

But I’ll remember how hard we laughed while trying.
